Checks run on our servers. We do not keep a list of the addresses you check.

How to use it

  1. Find the service in the list.
  2. Check the status word next to its name.
  3. Open the service page for the live check, the report chart and fixes.

How to read the status list

Each tile shows one word. Up means the public addresses of the service answered our last check. Problems means at least one address failed or was slow. Down means none of them answered normally. Reports of problems means our check passed, but many visitors told us they had trouble in the last hour. If the tile only says Check status, there is no recent result yet.

The list is not a promise. A service can answer a simple request from a data center and still have a broken login, a failing payment page or a game server region that is offline. That is why every service page also collects reports from people who actually use it, and why it links the official status page, which is the only source that can confirm the cause of an incident.

What we check

For each service we pick one or two public addresses: the main website, and where possible an endpoint of the back end such as an API or a login host. A request counts as answered when the server replies with a status code below 500. Redirects are followed. A reply such as 403 Forbidden still shows that the server is alive, so it counts as up. Server errors, timeouts and connection failures count as down.

All requests come from the same network. A regional outage, a block in a single country or a problem that affects only logged in users will not always show up. For that reason, treat a green tile as a good sign, not a guarantee.

Why these services

We chose the services that people search for most when something stops working: video and music streaming, social networks, chat, online games and consoles, AI assistants, email, shopping and delivery apps, and a few infrastructure names such as Cloudflare and Amazon Web Services, whose outages take many other sites down with them. We left out banks and payment apps. If your bank is not working, use its official channels, not a third party site.

Report a problem

Every service page has a button for visitors who have a problem. Each visitor can send one report per service every ten minutes, and the chart on the page shows the reports of the last 24 hours. A sudden climb in the chart, while the status word still says Up, often means a single feature such as login, voice chat or payments is failing. We do not publish the reports as news and we do not name or track the people who send them.

When a service is down

There is rarely anything to fix on your side. Do not reinstall the app, reset your router or change your password because of an outage. Wait, check the official status page, and try again later. If the tile says Up but you still cannot connect, open the service page and go through the fixes there, then read the guide on why a website is not loading.

Many outages are caused by a few shared providers. When a large cloud or content delivery network has trouble, dozens of unrelated sites fail at once. If several tiles turn red together, compare them with the Cloudflare and Amazon Web Services pages.

Frequently asked questions

How often is the status refreshed?

A background job checks every service on a rotation, so each one is refreshed every 15 minutes or sooner. The tile shows the last result, and the service page shows the time of the last check.

What does "Reports of problems" mean?

Our check can reach the service, but a larger number of visitors pressed the problem button on its page in the last hour. Some feature, such as login or voice, may be broken even though the website answers.

Why is a service marked "Check status"?

We have no recent result for it, for example right after a restart or while our own check service is unreachable. Open the service page to run a live check.

Which services can I add?

The list follows what people search for most. Banks and payment apps are left out on purpose. If a service you need is missing, write to us through the contact page.
