Is Clash Royale Down?

Clash Royale keeps losing connection, says the client and server are out of sync or will not finish a purchase? The live check shows whether Supercell's site answers, and the fixes follow Supercell's own support articles.

Checking Clash Royale…

Reading the latest result from our servers.

We test supercell.com from our servers. This shows whether the public addresses answer, not what happens inside the app.

Tell us if Clash Royale does not work for you. One report per visitor every 10 minutes.

Checks run on our servers. We do not keep a list of the addresses you check.

How to use it

  1. Read the live status above. It tests Clash Royale from outside your network.
  2. Open the official Clash Royale News (Supercell) page for confirmed incidents.
  3. If Clash Royale is up, work through the fixes below, cheapest first.
  4. Press the report button if it still fails, so other visitors see it.

Is Clash Royale down for everyone or only for you?

Clash Royale is a mobile game, so most problems sit between your phone and Supercell's servers. Supercell lists the usual causes of dropped connections: a weak or broken device connection, an unstable signal, low reception, a low performance device, and server downtime or app maintenance. Purchases are a separate system. They run through Google Play or the App Store, not through the game itself.

Our check requests the official Clash Royale page on supercell.com from outside your network. Supercell does not run a public status page for the game. News about updates and maintenance appears on the Clash Royale blog, the official X account and in the game, so check those when the site answers but battles still fail.

The live check on this page requests supercell.com from our servers every few minutes. A normal answer from those addresses means the service is reachable from outside your network. It does not prove that every feature inside Clash Royale works, which is why the problem reports and the fixes below matter.

What usually breaks with Clash Royale

Connection warning in battle

The game shows a warning sign and keeps trying to reconnect. In Clash Royale you cannot deploy cards during a connection issue, but the battle continues and your opponent can still play.

Out of sync

Your device and the server disagree about the game state. Supercell says this usually comes from an unstable internet connection.

Maintenance

Server downtime and app maintenance are on Supercell's own list of connection causes. The game will not connect until it ends.

Shop grayed out or purchase errors

The in-game shop may not show, or a purchase stays pending. These run through your app store account.

Crashes

The app closes repeatedly. Supercell treats reinstalling as a last resort for constant crashes.

How to fix Clash Royale when it only fails for you

Start at the top. The first steps are the cheapest and fix most cases that are not a real outage.

  1. Use a stable network. Supercell recommends wifi with a good provider or a solid 3G, 4G or 5G connection. Full bars do not guarantee a stable link, especially in a moving vehicle or underground.
  2. Update the game. Make sure you are on the latest version from Google Play or the App Store.
  3. Close background apps and restart. Supercell suggests closing apps running in the background, clearing your cache and restarting the device.
  4. Fix purchases on Android. Check that you are signed in to a valid Google account, check your payment method and billing address in Google Play, update the Play Store app and restart the game.
  5. Fix purchases on iPhone. Go to Settings, Screen Time, Content & Privacy Restrictions, App Installations & Purchases, In-app Purchases and allow them. Check the date and time and your Apple Account payment method.
  6. Connect Supercell ID before reinstalling. In the game settings, check that the button under Supercell ID is green and reads Connected. Then you can uninstall and reinstall without losing progress.
  7. Contact support in the game. Supercell offers support in the game through Settings, Help and Support. You can also use the Clash Royale contact form.

If none of this helps and the live check above shows the service as up, read our guide on why a website is not loading, or see how to flush DNS.
