How to use it
- Read the live status above. It tests Uber Eats from outside your network.
- Open the official Uber Eats Help page for confirmed incidents.
- If Uber Eats is up, work through the fixes below, cheapest first.
- Press the report button if it still fails, so other visitors see it.
Is Uber Eats down for everyone or only for you?
An Uber Eats order passes through several pieces: the customer app or website, your Uber account, the payment step, the restaurant's tablet and a delivery person. Many failures happen in one piece only. A declined card, an unpaid balance or no couriers nearby can block an order while the app itself works fine.
Our check requests ubereats.com from outside your network. A 403 reply to our server is normal bot protection and still means the site answered. If the check passes but your app fails, start with the app and payment fixes below.
The live check on this page requests www.ubereats.com from our servers every few minutes. A normal answer from those addresses means the service is reachable from outside your network. It does not prove that every feature inside Uber Eats works, which is why the problem reports and the fixes below matter.
What usually breaks with Uber Eats
App will not load
The app shows a screen error during ordering and you cannot continue. Uber's help says the app may be temporarily faulty.
Order will not go through
Checkout fails because of an unpaid balance, a declined payment, no available delivery people or an unconfirmed email or phone number.
Payment problems
A card is declined or cannot be added. Uber may not accept that payment method.
Restaurant not visible
A store is missing from the app. This can be a store-side issue such as closed hours or its tablet being offline.
Courier app issues
Delivery people use a separate app with its own troubleshooting steps.
How to fix Uber Eats when it only fails for you
Start at the top. The first steps are the cheapest and fix most cases that are not a real outage.
- Restart the app and phone. Close and reopen the Uber Eats app, then restart your device.
- Update the app and OS. Install the latest Uber Eats version and the latest system update for your phone.
- Check mobile data. Make sure mobile data is turned on for the app and Airplane mode is off.
- Reinstall the app. Delete Uber Eats and install it again from the App Store or Google Play. Your account stays on Uber's side.
- Use the web version. If the app still fails, Uber recommends ordering from the website instead.
- Clear an outstanding balance. Open the app and follow the prompts to pay an unpaid charge before ordering again.
- Update your payment method. Go to Account, Payment Methods, Add Payment Method, or tap the payment method under the total at checkout to switch it.
- Wait if no couriers are available. Uber advises waiting a few minutes and placing the order again.
If none of this helps and the live check above shows the service as up, read our guide on why a website is not loading, or see how to flush DNS.

Frequently asked questions
Is Uber Eats down or is it just me?
Run the live check above. Then try ubereats.com in a browser or use mobile data instead of Wi-Fi. If the website works, the app on your phone is the likely cause.
Does Uber Eats have a status page?
We could not find an official public status page for Uber Eats. The Uber Eats help center is the official source for app and order problems.
Why can't I place an order?
Uber lists four common reasons: an outstanding payment, a declined payment, no delivery people available, or an email or phone number that is not confirmed.
How do I contact Uber Eats support?
Log in through the help center and use the help form. Include a screenshot of the error. Never share your password with anyone claiming to be support.
My restaurant tablet is not getting orders. Is Uber Eats down?
Merchants should confirm the store is within its hours, force close the app, reboot the tablet and log in on Wi-Fi. If it still fails, contact merchants@uber.com.
