Is Paramount+ Down?

Paramount+ stuck loading, a live game that will not start or a playback error on your TV? The check below shows whether the main site answers, and the fixes cover the usual device problems.

Checking Paramount+…

Reading the latest result from our servers.

We test www.paramountplus.com from our servers. This shows whether the public addresses answer, not what happens inside the app.

Tell us if Paramount+ does not work for you. One report per visitor every 10 minutes.

Checks run on our servers. We do not keep a list of the addresses you check.

How to use it

  1. Read the live status above. It tests Paramount+ from outside your network.
  2. Open the official Paramount+ Help Center page for confirmed incidents.
  3. If Paramount+ is up, work through the fixes below, cheapest first.
  4. Press the report button if it still fails, so other visitors see it.

Is Paramount+ down for everyone or only for you?

Paramount+ works in layers. The app on your TV or phone talks to account and catalog services, then asks a streaming network for the video. Live TV and live sports, such as the local CBS feed, use a different live pipeline than on-demand shows. Any layer can fail on its own, which explains why a series plays while a live game does not.

The app also exists in many versions for smart TVs, Roku, Fire TV, Apple TV, game consoles, phones and browsers. Old versions are a common cause of errors. Our check requests the Paramount+ website from outside your network. We could not confirm a public status page, so the Help Center is the official support resource.

The live check on this page requests www.paramountplus.com from our servers every few minutes. A normal answer from those addresses means the service is reachable from outside your network. It does not prove that every feature inside Paramount+ works, which is why the problem reports and the fixes below matter.

What usually breaks with Paramount+

Playback errors

A show starts, then shows an error with a numeric code. Many of these are network or app problems on one device.

Live TV and sports

A live channel freezes or fails when many people watch the same event. On-demand content may still play.

App will not launch

The app crashes at the logo or returns to the home screen. This is normally an old version or damaged cache.

Login problems

The app does not accept your email or keeps asking you to sign in. Cookies, an old session or a mistyped email cause most of these.

Profile and download issues

Profiles do not load or downloads for offline viewing fail on the phone app.

How to fix Paramount+ when it only fails for you

Start at the top. The first steps are the cheapest and fix most cases that are not a real outage.

  1. Restart the app. Force close Paramount+ and open it again. On a phone, swipe it away from the app switcher.
  2. Update the app. Install the latest version from the Google Play Store, Apple App Store, or your TV or console store.
  3. Power cycle the device. Turn the TV, stick or console off, unplug it for 30 seconds, plug it in and try again.
  4. Check your internet. Run a speed test and compare with a phone on the same Wi-Fi. If the phone is slow too, restart the router.
  5. Use another device or the browser. Open paramountplus.com in Chrome or Safari. If it plays there, the problem is the original app.
  6. Clear cache or reinstall. On Android go to Settings, Apps, Paramount+, Storage, Clear cache. On Roku or Fire TV remove and add the channel again. Your account and watch list stay.
  7. Turn off VPN and extensions. A VPN or proxy and some browser extensions can interfere with video playback. Turn them off and reload.
  8. Sign out and back in. Use Settings in the app to sign out, then sign in. Reset your password only through the official paramountplus.com page.

If none of this helps and the live check above shows the service as up, read our guide on why a website is not loading, or see how to flush DNS.
