How to use it
- Read the live status above. It tests LinkedIn from outside your network.
- Open the official LinkedIn Help: troubleshoot common issues page for confirmed incidents.
- If LinkedIn is up, work through the fixes below, cheapest first.
- Press the report button if it still fails, so other visitors see it.
Is LinkedIn down for everyone or only for you?
LinkedIn is the feed and messaging site, the sign-in system with its security checks, and the mobile apps. Many problems that look like an outage are really sign-in or verification problems, which are tied to your device and account rather than to the whole site.
We could not find a public LinkedIn status page, so the best official resource is the Help Center. Our check requests the LinkedIn site from outside your network. If it answers, work through the browser and account steps below before assuming a platform problem.
The live check on this page requests www.linkedin.com and www.linkedin.com from our servers every few minutes. A normal answer from those addresses means the service is reachable from outside your network. It does not prove that every feature inside LinkedIn works, which is why the problem reports and the fixes below matter.
What usually breaks with LinkedIn
Feed and pages not loading
The page stays blank or a part of it fails. A cache or cookie problem is common, and LinkedIn's help page starts with these steps.
Repeated sign-in prompts
You sign in and are sent back to sign in again. LinkedIn says the date and time on your computer is a frequent cause.
Two-step verification
The push prompt does not appear, or you cannot reach your phone. LinkedIn offers an SMS option and an identity check as fallbacks.
Mobile app sign-in
The app rejects your login or will not open. Connection, the stored password and an old app version are the usual causes.
Posting and messaging
Posts or messages fail to send while reading works. Retry later and test on another device or browser.
How to fix LinkedIn when it only fails for you
Start at the top. The first steps are the cheapest and fix most cases that are not a real outage.
- Sign out and back in. Click the Me icon at the top of your LinkedIn homepage, choose Sign Out, then sign in again.
- Use a private window. Open LinkedIn in an incognito or private window. If it works there, clear cache and cookies in your normal window.
- Try another browser. Switch browsers and disable pop-up blockers and extensions for linkedin.com.
- Fix the clock. If you are asked to sign in over and over, correct the date and time on your computer, as LinkedIn recommends.
- Check your connection on mobile. In the app, confirm the phone is online, re-enter your email and use the Show option to check the password you typed.
- Use SMS for verification. If the sign-in prompt does not show in notifications, open the LinkedIn app and look for it. If it is not there, choose Verify using SMS.
- Reinstall the app. Uninstall and reinstall the LinkedIn app, then try again. Your account is stored with LinkedIn, not on the phone.
- Reset the password only through official pages. Use the Forgot password link on linkedin.com. Never share your password or codes with anyone who contacts you.
If none of this helps and the live check above shows the service as up, read our guide on why a website is not loading, or see how to flush DNS.
Common LinkedIn error messages

| Repeatedly asked to sign in | Often a wrong date or time setting, or stored cookies in conflict. | Fix the computer clock, clear cache and cookies, add LinkedIn as a trusted site. |
| Sign-in security prompt does not appear | The push notification did not reach the phone. | Open the app to look for the prompt, check the phone's internet and pick Verify using SMS. |
| Cannot sign in to the mobile app | Wrong credentials, a poor connection or an unsupported device. | Check the connection, show the password to verify it, reset it if needed and reinstall the app. |
Official LinkedIn status and support
The company itself has the final word on outages. Check LinkedIn Help: troubleshoot common issues for confirmed incidents and use LinkedIn Help Center if your account has a problem that is not an outage. We are not affiliated with LinkedIn.

Frequently asked questions
Does LinkedIn have a status page?
We could not confirm a public status page. Use LinkedIn's Help Center and our live check.
Why does LinkedIn keep logging me out?
Most often the date and time on your device is off, or cookies are being blocked. Fix the clock and clear cache and cookies.
I lost the phone used for two-step verification. What now?
LinkedIn has an article for no access to your mobile device. It can ask you to verify your identity with a government ID.
Does LinkedIn work in a private window?
Usually yes. If it works there but not in your normal window, an extension or stored data is at fault.
Where do I contact LinkedIn?
Open the Help Center at linkedin.com/help/linkedin and use the contact options there.
