How to use it
- Read the live status above. It tests Ticketmaster from outside your network.
- Open the official Ticketmaster Help page for confirmed incidents.
- If Ticketmaster is up, work through the fixes below, cheapest first.
- Press the report button if it still fails, so other visitors see it.
Is Ticketmaster down for everyone or only for you?
Ticketmaster has several parts that can fail on their own: the website and app, account sign-in, the queue that controls entry to busy sales, checkout and payment, and mobile tickets. Security checks that pause suspected bot activity can show up at any of these steps. On a big onsale, a long wait in the queue is how the system is designed to work, not a sign that the site is down.
Our check requests the Ticketmaster website and its account sign-in service from outside your network. If both answer, the platform is reachable. An error that only you see is usually a security check on your network, browser or session, which Ticketmaster's help pages explain.
The live check on this page requests www.ticketmaster.com and identity.ticketmaster.com from our servers every few minutes. A normal answer from those addresses means the service is reachable from outside your network. It does not prove that every feature inside Ticketmaster works, which is why the problem reports and the fixes below matter.
What usually breaks with Ticketmaster
Queue and waiting room
You wait a long time or land at the back of the line. Ticketmaster says no access time is guaranteed and fans are let in only as space opens.
Activity paused
A page says your browsing activity or your network has been paused. This is bot protection reacting to automated tools, rapid clicking or a busy shared network.
Sign-in and verification
You are asked to confirm it is you or to refresh your session, and the page loops.
Checkout errors
Messages like Time's Up or This Page Has Expired appear, or the payment is declined.
Missing tickets
An order does not show in the app. Tickets can sit under a different order, email or team account.
How to fix Ticketmaster when it only fails for you
Start at the top. The first steps are the cheapest and fix most cases that are not a real outage.
- Join the queue on time. Join up to 15 minutes before the sale. If you join after it starts, you go to the back of the line.
- Do not refresh in the queue. Your spot updates by itself. Do not refresh, close or leave the page. On mobile, keep the screen active.
- Use one device and one browser. Joining from a new device or browser puts you at the back of the line. Turn up the volume to hear the notification bell. Your spot is held for 10 minutes.
- Switch off a shared network. If activity is paused because of your network, switch to a personal network such as mobile data and wait a few minutes.
- Turn off VPNs and automated tools. Disable any VPN, privacy tool or browser extension that automates actions, and avoid repeated clicks.
- Enable cookies and JavaScript. For a session error, turn on cookies and JavaScript and refresh once. If it repeats, sign out and sign back in.
- Clear the app cache. For an APIError in the app, clear the app cache or use the mobile site instead.
- Check your orders before retrying. After a checkout error, sign in and look for the order and a confirmation email before you try to buy again.
If none of this helps and the live check above shows the service as up, read our guide on why a website is not loading, or see how to flush DNS.

Frequently asked questions
Is Ticketmaster down or is the queue just busy?
Run the live check above. If the site and sign-in answer, a long wait is the queue doing its job. Ticketmaster says waits can be longer than before and no access time is guaranteed.
Does Ticketmaster have a public status page?
We could not find an official public status page. The Ticketmaster Help Center explains each error message and is the best official source.
Should I refresh or open more tabs in the queue?
No. Your spot refreshes on its own. A new device or browser moves you to the back. Multiple tabs are only for joining separate dates of the same event.
I got an error at checkout. Was I charged?
Sign in and check your orders and email first. Ticketmaster asks you to retry only if no order appears and no confirmation email arrived.
Why are my tickets missing from the app?
Check every order, sign in with the email that got the confirmation, and look in a team or venue account for sports and theater events.
