Privacy policy
This privacy policy explains how Is-It-Down.org (is-it-down.org) handles personal data. Operator: Timur Cimerman, 29. augusta 5682/36A, 058 01 Poprad, Slovakia. Contact: hello@is-it-down.org.
Addresses you check
When you use the checker, the address you type is sent to our server, which requests it and returns the result. We keep the result in a short-lived cache for about one minute so repeated checks do not send repeated requests to the same site. We do not store the list of addresses that visitors check, and we do not link a checked address to a person.
Problem reports
When you press "I have a problem" on a service page, we add one to a counter for that service and that hour. To enforce the limit of one report per service every 10 minutes, we store a one-way hash made from your IP address, the service and a secret value. The hash cannot be turned back into your IP address, and it is deleted after about an hour. The hourly counters are deleted after 48 hours.
What stays in your browser
The list "Your recent checks" and the time of your last report are kept in your browser's local storage on your device. They are never sent to us. You can remove them by clearing site data in your browser.
Hosting and server logs
The site and the checker run on Cloudflare, Inc. When you visit a page or call the checker, Cloudflare processes technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the time of the request to deliver the service and protect it from abuse (legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). We do not use these logs to identify you.
Statistics
We may use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts page views without cookies and without storing personal profiles.
Advertising (Google AdSense)
We show ads through Google AdSense, a service of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Google and its partners may use cookies and similar technologies to show ads, limit how often you see an ad and measure performance. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
Where required (EEA, UK, Switzerland), we ask for your consent through a consent message certified under the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework before personalized ads or cookies are used (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using the "Privacy settings" link in the footer.
You can opt out of personalized advertising in Google Ads Settings or at aboutads.info. Learn more: How Google uses information from sites that use its services.
Your rights
You have the right to access, rectify, erase and restrict processing of your data, the right to data portability and the right to object. You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection authority. To exercise your rights, write to hello@is-it-down.org.
Changes
We may update this policy when the site changes. Last updated: 2026-10-25.
