What the checks show

Is-It-Down.org tests whether a public web address answers a request from our servers. The result is information about one test at one moment from one location. It is not a guarantee that a service works for you or that it will keep working, and it does not show what happens behind a login. Problem reports come from visitors and are not verified.

Fair use

You may use the checker for websites you are allowed to test. Do not use it to attack, scan or overload any site, to probe private networks, or to bypass the limits we set. We limit the number of checks per visitor and may block abuse without notice. Only public addresses on the standard web ports can be checked.

Independence

Is-It-Down.org is an independent site. The services and brands named on our pages belong to their owners, and we are not affiliated with them. Links to official status pages and support pages lead to sites we do not control.

Free service, no guarantee

The service is free and provided "as is". We work carefully, but we cannot guarantee that it is always available or that every result is complete, current or correct. Pages with instructions are general help and may differ from the version of the app or system you use.

Liability

We are liable only for intent and gross negligence, to the extent permitted by law. We are not responsible for the content of external websites we link to or check.
