Is Quizlet Down?

Quizlet not loading, blocked at school or refusing your Google sign-in? The live check below shows whether quizlet.com answers, and the fixes cover the common local causes.

Checking Quizlet…

Reading the latest result from our servers.

We test quizlet.com from our servers. This shows whether the public addresses answer, not what happens inside the app.

Tell us if Quizlet does not work for you. One report per visitor every 10 minutes.

Checks run on our servers. We do not keep a list of the addresses you check.

How to use it

  1. Read the live status above. It tests Quizlet from outside your network.
  2. Open the official Troubleshooting Quizlet page for confirmed incidents.
  3. If Quizlet is up, work through the fixes below, cheapest first.
  4. Press the report button if it still fails, so other visitors see it.

Is Quizlet down for everyone or only for you?

Quizlet runs behind Cloudflare, and its help center lists Cloudflare address ranges that schools need to allow. That matters because many Quizlet problems are not outages at all. A school filter, an SSL inspection rule or a blocked email domain can stop Quizlet for one building while it works everywhere else. Quizlet Live also uses its own domain, quizlet.live.

Our check requests quizlet.com from outside your network. A 403 reply to our server is expected from Cloudflare and still means the site is reachable. If the check passes but Quizlet fails for you, the cause is most likely your network, browser or account settings.

The live check on this page requests quizlet.com from our servers every few minutes. A normal answer from those addresses means the service is reachable from outside your network. It does not prove that every feature inside Quizlet works, which is why the problem reports and the fixes below matter.

What usually breaks with Quizlet

Blocked on a school network

Quizlet does not open on school Wi-Fi or school devices but works at home. The district filter is blocking it.

Google sign-in refused

Students with school Google accounts see Access blocked or an Error 400. The school's Google Workspace settings control this.

Emails not arriving

Account confirmation and password reset emails never show up, often because a school mail filter blocks Quizlet senders.

Images missing

Sets load but pictures are blank. Many gallery images are hosted on Flickr, which some networks block.

Temporarily limited

After viewing a very large amount of content, Quizlet may limit access for security reasons.

How to fix Quizlet when it only fails for you

Start at the top. The first steps are the cheapest and fix most cases that are not a real outage.

  1. Update the browser or app. On the web, install browser updates or try another browser. On iOS or Android, update the Quizlet app to the latest version.
  2. Clear cache and cookies. Clear Quizlet's saved data in your browser settings, then sign in again.
  3. Turn off your VPN. Quizlet's own troubleshooting steps say to check your connection and turn off any VPN.
  4. Take a short break. If you were limited for viewing a lot of content, stop for a while and come back shortly after.
  5. Ask school IT to allow Quizlet. Your IT admin can whitelist quizlet.com, *.quizlet.com and quizlet.live, plus the Cloudflare IP ranges listed in Quizlet's help article, or exclude them from SSL inspection.
  6. Unblock Quizlet email senders. IT can allow no-reply@quizlet.com, account@account.quizlet.com and newsletter@newsletter.quizlet.com so reset emails arrive.
  7. Allow Flickr for images. If set images are missing at school, ask IT to check that Flickr is not blocked.
  8. Send details to support. If nothing works, contact Quizlet with a screenshot or screen recording, the URL you were trying to reach and your IP address.

If none of this helps and the live check above shows the service as up, read our guide on why a website is not loading, or see how to flush DNS.

Frequently asked questions

Is Quizlet down or is it just me?

Run the live check above. If quizlet.com answers but not on your device, try mobile data or a home network. If it works there, your school or office network is blocking it.

Does Quizlet have a public status page?

We could not confirm an official public status page. Quizlet's help center has a Troubleshooting Quizlet article, and support asks for a screenshot, the URL and your IP address.

Why does Quizlet work at home but not at school?

School filters often block it. Quizlet's help article lists the domains and IP ranges that school IT needs to allow.

Why can't I sign in with my school Google account?

Errors like Access blocked or Error 400: admin_policy_enforced come from your school's Google Workspace settings. Only the school admin can fix them.

I never got my password reset email. What now?

Check spam first. On school accounts, the mail filter may block Quizlet senders, so ask IT to allow them. Only use the official reset flow on quizlet.com.
